Even fashion can be made by 3D printing

The Economist has a series of articles featuring 3D printing recently. 3D printing is now going mainstream. Most major newspapers and magazines have covered this area, notably TIME and The Economist.

In this article, they reported an exploded growth of 3D printing both in scope of application and number of exhibitors in Europe's largest manufacturing exhibition - EUROMOLD - in Franfurt from Nov 29th to Dec 2nd.

Over 300 exhibitors showcased their 3D printing-related products encompassing all kinds of size, technologies and applications. Some are as big as a car, some are desktop-sized. Some use plastic, some use metal and a variety of other materials. Applications ranges from building toys to high-end ones like medical devices, and even strange ones like fashion.

The future of 3D printing is bright.
