3D-printing is among top 5 disruptive technologies

According to TechnologyReview, 3D printing may some day make major players in following industries to bankrupt, very much similar to what is happening to traditional bookstores like the Borders due to emergence of eBook readers:

- Toy companies
- Makers of replacement parts
- Shipping companies
