Conquer the real challenge: print human organ!

Doctors around the world have been tinkering with 3D printing technologies to produce human organs that best fit to each patient. Medical is always a field dealing with customization because human beings is greatly different from individuals to individuals. 3D printing in this sense is a newly emerging technology that fit the bill wonderfully.

Bone, skin and kidney are some important organs that have been experimented with; and results from those trials are extremely promising. Using 3D printing, physicians nowadays are able to scan those organs, which is highly specific to each patient, and print them out with highest details of both external and internal structure.

The benefit from such practice is immense. Printed organs fit to patients' anatomical structure up to sub-millimeter scale, which will result in better healing and higher aesthetic look. They help doctors be much more prepared before operation. And they can be used right next to the place where patients need them the most such as battle field.

3D printing is just in its early stage of development, but its scope of application is being widespread tremendously.
